Tired of slow lyrics finding websites with all their popups? I was, until one night I decided to start a little something that turned into a big something. A very useful utility, this can retrive lyrics by artist or or both artist and song name for a quick find. You will see nothing from any lyrics website, this parses the pages from letssingit.com and puts the lyrics into a rich textbox complete with html parsing (bold, italic, etc). If you like, vote - alot of work was put into this. Any improvements are welcome. Code is now somewhat commented, better than before. This version was totally rewritten to the new website, which works A LOT better. For example, you can put in "system of" and "system of a down" lyrics would come up. The known bugs are: * random numbers in song list (winsock control did that somehow, doesnt really affect anything) * when there are search RESULTS, the results dont show up. A very annoying little problem, I'll fix it soon. Otherwise put in the EXACT artist or something closer to it and you'll get good results.

TFS 3.11 will take any number of files - you can even right click a file and select 'Delete With TFS' - and overwrite them with random binary data up to several hundred times. The data overwrites every character in the file, so it is secure, but a bit slow. I've also included the DOD routine by Michael Bos as an alternate method of deletion. Also features a progress bar to show the deletion status and can scan drives for temp files.

I've been looking for this and found nothing so i started it myself, and here it is! PS: Don't belive that, listen the actual story I searched for something like this and only found a simple ruler. Only had the 4 modes thing, the orientation and the cursor-following lines. But it didn't work fine. So i fixed the orientation, added a code i found here to make it with borders (6 to choose from =] ), added back and font color stuff, and changed the code cause before it didn't remember and load settings if u used it in an app. So, here it is, what YOU have been looking for too! The ruler OCX! Comes with full source, a little example form (u can see it in the screenshot) and a little request: Please if u make any changes, tell me, or send me it so i can have it to (i have an app using this ruler and it will be great to improve it) If u want to vote, i'll be glad. that way more users will know about this and they can help with it too hehe =] Maybe not the best control in the world, but it's useful. A very effective tool which detects and closes Numega Smart Check debugger tool (all versions), W32Dasm Deassembler or Hex Workshop. Just a few lines of code and very well commented. Open any of the above programs first and then run this application. It detects the presence of these debuggers / deassemblers / hex editors and closes them. You can also raise an exception / system error on their detection (if you so desire). For academic interest only, this program has also been extended to close any other application such as Notepad, Winamp etc. Please vote and intimate me of any errors.

ClsExtendedRTF Version 2a OOPS SMALL UPGRADE FORGOT ABOUT LOW RESOLUTION SCREENS sort of fixed that and there's a small animation demo added as an apology. This code manipulates the underlying Rich Text format string in RichTextBoxes in several ways. Highlight text, add interesting, strange and weird formats to RTF text. Resize mixed sizes of fonts with one call. Add a Zooming ComboBox to any RichTextBox. CommonDialog is encapsulated to give File New / Open / Save / SaveAs / SafeSave and Reload functionality. ShowColor is also encapsulated. This is a more stable version of this code. Insertion point is preserved after changes to text. More of the work is done at string manipulation level. New details added see * below for version 2's new elements. Minimum Requirments Riched20.dll (version 3) Riched32.dll (5.00.2008.1) probably the Richx32.ocx control Highlight now comes in two flavours RTF and API there are advantages and disadvatages to each. This code, aside from being totally useless is a learning tool. I wrote it for my IT intro to networking class, to illustrate the process of 'anding' (no, thats not a typo) a TCP/IP IP with its subnet mask to determine the Network ID and Network Class. Its got lots of 'dumb user' pitfall watches like checking for people typing words in number feilds etc. Also 'included' in this miracle program is the ability to use "." to tab between fields, in a custom built taborder. In order to keep proper coding standards, I ended up with LOTS of subs, each only operating on very small tasks, to keep the code simple. Take a look, you may like it, you may not, its totally useless (unless you need to learn about network ID's), but a good example of good coding standards, if nothing else. How it works: Short and sweet - to determine what network your computer is on, it uses a network ID, derrived from your IP and your subnet mask. To put the two together, you first convert each octet (part of the IP and Mask) into binary seperately. Then, one by one you go through bit 1 of octet 1 of each the IP and Mask, and use an 'or' on them, if either is a 1, then the resulting bit will be 1. After all the bits have been anded, then they get converted back into decimal, resulting in the Network ID. if you didnt understand that, dont worry, I wrote this program BECAUSE my classmates didnt understand it. feel free to vote, although (obviously) not nessecary. I just want to get a scope of what people think of it.

With DYNDATA your are able to connect to a SQL-Server Database and edit the data in thier tables. DYNDATA builds dynamically the needed textfields and checkboxes. It uses ADO without databindingcontrols. You can select a database and table from a combobox and then connect to your given SQL-Server. All information about login, tables and databases are extracted from information_schema views and system tables. This CTL implements a property sheet, a little like those that exist in VB Developer Studio itself. You can manipulate TEXT, BOOLEAN, LIST and BUTTON property types.
