I started this project when I was extremely new to VB and I just kept modifying it until it is what you see today. This is mainly a web browser but I added a lot of sub programs like a media player, dvd player, word processor, html editor, etc...

PacMan clone(more like replica) written in VB with Windows API and GDI calls. Camera movement allows mazes bigger that the window. I'm still working on a maze editor and there are only two mazes as of yet. Each user can also change their passwords. If operator forgets his password then administrator can change it to default password. i.e. op which is defined in this application. Logs ---- This application also logs Log in time and log out time of operator so that you can administrator can determine when operator has made an entry. From the Tools menu you can also have access to many of inbuilt windows tool like Calc, explorer etc so that need not required to minimize your application. This is nothing revolutionary, just puts a real time CPU & RAM usage meter in you your system tray. I found solutions of animated system tray example a lot but they are not completely dynamic like this one, it doesn't have an image library rather it generates the image dynamically and gets you the accurate graph display, could be a good example of animated system tray icon!

This project provides a class for xor encryption that can handle strings and files. The class is over 100 times faster than normal vb-code, it encrypts with up to 13 MB/s! VB does only about 0.1 MB/s, that means it encrypts a 10MB string in less than 1 second, where other routines posted on psc would take about 90 seconds! You can also pass files to the class which will be encrypted with up to 6 MB/s! (tested on a P-II 350) How it works: The class doesn't use any dlls, it all works with vb-code and a little bit assembler! another advantage of this technique is that it has the same speed when it is used in the ide. The sourcecode is commented, so i think you can also learn something about using asm in vb. I hope you find it useful, thanks for your vote.

The original was submitted by Paul Caton a couple of months ago. The present version is safer and is based on a completely rewritten assembly thunk. Also I have changed the name of the subclasser to reflect more closely what in fact it's doing. In addition to this you get the hooking thunk which (you guessed it) hooks windows hooks in a convenient and safe way. Both of the thunks' source files (assembly) are included. Both thunks are designed to be and have shown to be exceptionally safe in the IDE, they seem immune to both the end button and End statement - try to crash them and let me know what your results are. The screenshot is from a sample project (included in the zip) which subclasses a form's menus and turns them into Office XP clones - now it's not necessary to include 13000 lines of "supercode" to get the Office XP style menus under win 98/2000/XP/.Net Server (not tested on 95/NT btw).
