Picture In Picture Encryption Embedding!

Here is another dandy! This ap will embed or encrypt a picture within another picture! It uses 3 and 4 bit encryption. It clears the lower order bits on a "Parent" picture and embeds the higher order bits of a "Child" picture. There is little or no noticeable differences between a childless parent picture and one that has been emdedded with a child picutre, depending on which option was chosen. There are three options for embedding. 3 Bit Greyscale, 3 Bit and 4 Bit Color. On the 3 Bit Greyscale the child picture is converted to greyscale. On the 3 Bit and 4 Bit Color the child picture retains its color. A full expaination is included in the Form comments. To use it you should open a "Parent" and a "Child" picture and choose an embed option. After this you can save your Parent picture. You can also extract it again at any time. Pretty neat little program! One more thing, the option you select to embed should be the same one you use to extract. Otherwise peculiar pictures will be extracted! Have Fun! :o) Happy Valentines Day! Love suffereth long, and is kind; Love envieth not; Love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. And now abideth faith, hope, Love, these three; but the greatest of these is Love. I Corinthians 13:4 -8, 13:13 Happy Valentines Day

Customise Standard Toolbar Fix

If you've ever tried to use the standard Toolbar customise feature then you will know it doesn't work. This is a documented bug - visit MS and do a search. They offer some solutions, but these only partially rectify the problems. The problems involve an inabilty to reliably save the configuration of the Toolbar and a failure to display unused items in the left hand selection Listview. My fix Scrap the feature entirely - uncheck AllowCustimize checkbox in properties Replace the dialog with a clone form Power the function with a simple class

World's Fastest Binary Search

This ain't your daddy's binary search tool! Mine goes about 30% faster than his. Why people insist on using the same tired and slow function I'll never know, but it suffers from two glaring weaknesses. First and foremost: are about the slowest way to compare strings! Second: The tired old function assumes that you will find a match more often than not which is slow! My function doesn't suffer from either of these two "features".

Check It Out!)(*****Updated!!! v2, Calling it v2 cause of the major changes i made to the project including a working filtering scheme that correctly fixes the found filenames correctly as far as i can tell... tell me what u think of this new version!)(****Updated!, Now has a Search Query box feature so you can search for more than one file extention at once! I also included 2 filtering loops to remove bogus findings, but since it is untested fully i left the original project in the zip for you to have regardless... Check it out.)(***Updated, removes dupes now cause some programs have a reoccuring file being found in the search, so i gave the option to remove dupes or not, check screenshot!)(**Updated, I just fixed the VB5 InstrRev part, sorry if it didn't work..)(*Updated, Just added a save feature to it for developers who want to include it in a readme or something, good luck) Description: I needed a file dependency sniffing program really quick for a friend who sent me a Borland exe and needed to know which dlls it needed so I ran to PSC to find my self searching for keywords and not get anything, then I tried one word and kept browsing through the many entries of PSC. Then I came accross one, called nFile_Search, it was so pathetic I could have cried, the only thing i liked was the interface so I kept it for this program, heh, but I cleared the whole form of code and wrote this up and made it so you can search for other types of files besides .dlls, to expand its usability (.ocx, .exe, @ for emails, anything) so enjoy and if anyone out there has tips or ideas to make it more effecient then please submit. Also please vote if it isnt too much trouble ;p IM me at: Mike3dd Email: [email protected] for anything. ;]

DirGuard deLuxe

Well here it is, Dirguard de Luxe, as i could not find beta-testers i could only test it on WinNT and win98Se. Now guarding multiple directory's, just ad them to the guardlist and all files within are guarded. Solved the syncronisation of different boxes in previous versions by using a FlexGrid to store the information, i never used Flex-Grid so the code might be somewhat "unusual". Now guarding for : additions, deletions, changes of date, time, attribute and size, also checks if a file can be accessed. The logfile got autoscroll and there is something done about the visualisation of the guarding, again the code might seem a bit exotic here and there. Feedback or a rating would be great, also beta-testers but hey...you can always improve it yourselfe but please inform me about your ideas. (CPU-load while checking 700 files is 19% max)
