SQL Syntax Highlighter does exactly what the name implies. This is the third version of this code I have written. The first version used a bunch of split commands, the second used a loop to cycle through each character, and the third and current version uses regular expressions. Many improvements have been made to this version of the code. Simply because the code now uses regular expressions, it is much more reliable. It can handle longer and more complicated SQL statements with ease. Support for special formatting of MS Access style dates has been added -- #02/14/2005#. The code has also been converted to an ASP class. I’m sorry if you’re not a big fan of classes. Included is a test file which shows how to use the class. In any case, I would appreciate your vote. For those of you out there who lock your forms to a certain size because rescaling is such a pain, give this a try...you will love it! NOTE: Although this code works as is, it is JUST AN EXAMPLE. You should be able to take the same logic and apply it to all of your forms, but please note that this example does not handle every type of control. For special controls (dbGrid, etc.) you will have to write a little code yourself to make it work.
